
About us
The Asian Welfare and Cultural Association (AWCA) was established in 2002, with a view to meet the needs of the minority Asian Community in Eastleigh, who were often isolated and had poor access to information about services and resources in the community and their place in it.
It had a particular focus on older people from those communities and this continues through the Asian Elders Group.
Asian Elders Group
The Group started in 2002. It meets every Wednesday from 12pm - 4pm at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Leigh Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO50 9DF. It is a drop-in group for older members of the community. New members are very welcome to join the group.
Board of Trustees
The Association became a registered Charity in August 2010 and has a Board of Trustees who meet quarterly to discuss key matters at a strategic level:

The AWCA also has a Committee that organises the day-to-day running of the Association and meets quarterly.
